Information about Inditel H 40 Tablet

Description:

Hydrochlorothiazide (Inditel-H) is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention. Telmisartan (Inditel-H) is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Telmisartan (Inditel-H) keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow. Inditel-H is a combination medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Inditel-H is usually given after other hypertension medications have been tried without successful treatment. Inditel-H may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Uses / Indications:

Inditel H 40 Tablet is used to treat an essential high blood pressure condition in patients who are suffering from the state of uncontrolled blood pressure while having therapy with telmisartan alone. Hydrochlorothiazide works by eliminating the excess amounts of sodium, chloride and potassium salts from the kidney and telmisartan works by preventing the Activity of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels which results in decreased blood pressure.

Interactions / Warnings:

Inditel H-40 Tablet 10's should not be given to the people allergic to Inditel H-40 Tablet 10's, have low blood pressure (less than 90 mm of Hg), have had a heart attack, kidney disease, liver disease, pregnant women, or planning to get pregnant and breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in patients suffering from diabetes. Besides this, it is contraindicated in low blood pressure (hypotension), cardiogenic shock (sudden stopping of blood flow to the heart), and aortic stenosis (heart valve problem). Inditel H-40 Tablet 10's can pass into breast milk, but its effect on the baby is not known. So, it is better to tell your doctor if you are taking Inditel H-40 Tablet 10's and breastfeeding.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. In rare cases, Inditel-H can cause a condition that results in the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue, leading to kidney failure. Call your doctor right away if you have unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness especially if you also have fever, unusual tiredness, and dark colored urine. Call your doctor at once if you have: a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out, eye pain, vision problems, swelling, rapid weight gain, fast or pounding heartbeats, little or no urinating, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), low levels of sodium in the body--headache, confusion, slurred speech, severe weakness, vomiting, loss of coordination, feeling unsteady or low potassium--confusion, uneven heart rate, extreme thirst, increased urination, leg discomfort, muscle weakness or limp feeling. Other common side effects may include: tired feeling, flu symptoms, Nausea, diarrhea or cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat.
