Ferrous ascorbate is used as a source of iron deficiency anemia with molecular formula of C12H13FeO2 and molecular weight of 406.1. Folic acid, N-(p(((2-amino-4-hydroxy-6-pteridinyl)-methyl)amino)benzoyl) glutamic acid, is a complex organic compound present in liver, yeast and other substances, and which may be prepared synthetically with molecular formula of C19H19N7O6 and molecular weight of 441.4.

Do not take Ferium XT Tablet 10's if you are allergic to Ferium XT Tablet 10's, iron, folic acid, or any of the ingredients of Ferium XT Tablet 10's. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor. Ferium XT Tablet 10's is generally given at least 4 weeks before pregnancy and is continued up to 3 months of pregnancy. Also, if giving Ferium XT Tablet 10's to a child, a child specialist's dose will be decided as an overdose of Ferium XT Tablet 10's in children can lead to deadly poisoning.
