Uses / Indications:

Cefolac DT 100 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Bacterial infections Diarrhea in young children Chronic bronchitis exacerbation Gonorrhea Irritable bowel syndrome Vaginal infection Whitish or yellowish discharge of mucus from the vagina Urinary tract infections Otitis media Pharyngitis and tonsillitis

Interactions / Warnings:

In some cases, the use of CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET causes antibiotic-associated diarrhea, however, Lactobacillus sporogenes in this medicine prevent these symptoms. Inform your doctor if you have phenylketonuria (PKU) as CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET may contain phenylalanine. Talk to your doctor before taking CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET if you have diabetes as CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET liquid dosage form contains sucrose. Long-term use of CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET may affect your blood, kidney, and liver health, so a yearly diagnostics test of these parameters is recommended. Talk to your doctor before taking CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET if you have epilepsy, diabetes, stomach problems, kidney, or liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children below 10 years old unless recommended by a doctor.

Side Effects:

Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. - Loose stools (diarrhea). Yogurt or probiotics may help. You may get these products at health food stores or in some pharmacies. - For women, vaginal yeast infection. Report itching or discharge.

Medicine interaction:

CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET may reduce the Activity of the vaccines including cholera vaccine, live, typhoid vaccine. To ensure adequate vaccine response, you should not receive any above-mentioned vaccine, until at least 14 days after you complete your antibiotic therapy. CEFOLAC DT 100MG TABLET can occasionally cause kidney problems, and using it with furosemide may increase that risk. Anticonvulsant medication (carbamazepine), anticoagulant( Warfarin).
