Xigduo contains a combination of Xigduo. Xigduo are oral diabetes medicines that help control blood sugar levels. Dapagliflozin (Xigduo) works by helping the kidneys get rid of glucose from your bloodstream. Metformin (Xigduo) lowers glucose production in the liver and also causes your intestines to absorb less glucose. Xigduo is used together with diet and exercise to treat type 2 diabetes. Dapagliflozin (Xigduo) is not for treating type 1 diabetes. Xigduo may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Inform your doctor if you take other antidiabetic drugs so that the dosage of Xigduo XR 10 mg/1000 mg Tablet 7's will be adjusted accordingly. Do not abruptly stop taking Xigduo XR 10 mg/1000 mg Tablet 7's midway if the doctor did not advise you. Xigduo XR 10 mg/1000 mg Tablet 7's may cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar); hence it is advised to make healthy food with enough calories and avoid heavy exercises. Brief your medical history to doctor if you have any heart, kidney or liver diseases, breathing problems (asthma, obstructive lung diseases), blood problems like anaemia (lack of blood cells), vitamin B12 deficiency, pancreas problems/surgery, dehydration, alcohol use, low blood pressure, and yeast infection of genitals before taking Xigduo XR 10 mg/1000 mg Tablet 7's. Avoid alcohol intake while using Xigduo XR 10 mg/1000 mg Tablet 7's since it may increase the risk of lactic acidosis. Xigduo XR 10 mg/1000 mg Tablet 7's is not recommended for use during the second or third trimester of pregnancy and breastfeeding. Your doctor may advise alternate medications to control your diabetic condition in such cases. Xigduo XR 10 mg/1000 mg Tablet 7's is not recommended for people younger than 18 years of age.
