Uses / Indications:

Meltolan Tablet is used for the short term treatment and maintenance of a severe mental illness that affects a person s ability to think feel and behave schizophrenia This medicine works by altering the Activity of certain natural substances in the brain Meltolan is also used for the short term treatment and maintenance of mood disorder mania associated with bipolar I disorder and to treat excessive brain Activity associated with mental illness and mood swings agitation related to schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder associated mania Meltolan Tablet may also be used together with other medicines to treat certain conditions as recommended by the doctor It is used in combination with Lithium or Valproate for the short term treatment of mood swings and mixed episodes of major depression related to bipolar I disorder in adults It is also used with Fluoxetine to treat depressive episodes and the condition in which patients are unable to respond to antidepressant therapy associated with Bipolar I Disorder in adult patients

Interactions / Warnings:

Meltolan 5mg Tablet 10 s is not recommended for treatment in patients with Dementia Related Psychosis Brief your medical history to the doctor if you have any allergic reactions liver or kidney diseases Alzheimer s disease dementia heart problems breathing problems high cholesterol glaucoma diabetes bowel problems breathing problem during sleep sleep apnea low white blood cell count breast cancer enlarged prostate and fits before starting Meltolan 5mg Tablet 10 s Please consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive before starting this medicine Meltolan 5mg Tablet 10 s is not recommended during breastfeeding Avoid consuming alcohol as it might lead to increased side effects like dizziness and drowsiness Avoid driving or operating machinery as Meltolan 5mg Tablet 10 s may decrease your mental alertness making you feel dizzy or drowsy Meltolan 5mg Tablet 10 s is not recommended for people below 12 years of age as the safety and effectiveness have not been established
