Rivaban is a highly selective direct factor Xa inhibitor. Inhibition of factor Xa interrupts the intrinsic and extrinsic pathway of the blood coagulation cascade, inhibits thrombin formation. Rivaban does not inhibit thrombin (Activated factor II) and no effects on platelets have been demonstrated.

Rivaban 20 Tablet 14's should be used with caution in children. Prolonged use of Rivaban 20 Tablet 14's may cause hair loss. Regular blood tests are recommended while taking Rivaban 20 Tablet 14's to check the time taken for your blood to clot and level of platelets (blood cells). If you are known to be allergic to Rivaban 20 Tablet 14's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Rivaban 20 Tablet 14's. If you have a stomach ulcer, kidney or liver problems, high blood pressure, or bleeding problems, inform your doctor before taking Rivaban 20 Tablet 14's. Talk to your doctor immediately if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
