Tonoferon Syrup 100ml belongs to the therapeutic classification of Mineral Supplements, Vitamin Supplements. The primary composition for this medicine is Elemental iron 250 MG, Folic acid 500 MCG, Vitamin B12 5 MCG /5ML.
Uses / Indications:
Tonoferon Syrup is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
Vitamin b12 deficiency
Iron deficiency anaemia
Treatment of anemias of nutritional origin, pregnancy, infancy, or childhood
Iron deficiency anemia
Deficiency of vitamin b12
Macrocytic anemia
Adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in anoxic seizures
Pernicious anaemia
Treatment of megaloblastic anemias due to a deficiency of folic acid
Poor absorption of food
Interactions / Warnings:
Do not take Tonoferon Syrup 200 ml if you are allergic to Tonoferon Syrup 200 ml, iron, folic acid, or any of the ingredients of Tonoferon Syrup 200 ml. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor. Tonoferon Syrup 200 ml is generally given at least 4 weeks before pregnancy and is continued up to 3 months of pregnancy. Also, if giving Tonoferon Syrup 200 ml to a child, a child specialist's dose will be decided as an overdose of Tonoferon Syrup 200 ml in children can lead to deadly poisoning. If you have got any part of the stomach removed, please inform your doctor before taking Tonoferon Syrup 200 ml.
