Description:

Raricap Tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of Mineral Supplements, Vitamin Supplements. The primary composition for this medicine is Elemental iron 25 MG, Folic acid 0.3 MG.

Uses / Indications:

Raricap Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Iron deficiency due to poor absorption and chronic blood loss Vitamin d deficiency Treatment of anemias of nutritional origin, pregnancy, infancy, or childhood Folate deficiency Deficiency of vitamin d Calcium deficiency Hypocalcemia Anemia due to folic acid deficiency Cardiovascular health Treatment of megaloblastic anemias due to a deficiency of folic acid

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not take Raricap Tablet 40's if you are allergic to Raricap Tablet 40's, iron, folic acid, or any of the ingredients of Raricap Tablet 40's. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor. Raricap Tablet 40's is generally given at least 4 weeks before pregnancy and is continued up to 3 months of pregnancy. Also, if giving Raricap Tablet 40's to a child, a child specialist's dose will be decided as an overdose of Raricap Tablet 40's in children can lead to deadly poisoning. If you have got any part of the stomach removed, please inform your doctor before taking Raricap Tablet 40's.

Side Effects:

GI upset, black stools, abdominal discomfort or pain by oral therapy.

Medicine interaction:

Raricap Tablet 40's is known to interact with medicines used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (penicillamine, sulfasalazine), blood cholesterol (cholestyramine), Parkinson's disease (levodopa, carbidopa), thyroid disease (thyroxine), bone disease (bisphosphonates), certain cancers (aminopterin, methotrexate), malaria (pyrimethamine), Wilson's disease (trientine), antibiotics (cotrimoxazole, chloramphenicol, tetracyclines).
