Description:

Magnesium is a naturally occurring mineral that is important for many systems in the body, especially the muscles and nerves. Magnesium Citrate (Potrate MB 6) also increases water in the intestines. Magnesium Citrate (Potrate MB 6) is used as a laxative to treat occasional constipation. Magnesium Citrate (Potrate MB 6) may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Uses / Indications:

Potrate-MB6 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Recurrent calcium oxalate kidney calculi Heart disease High cholesterol Clogged arteries Potrate-MB6 Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed here.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using magnesium citrate and call your doctor at once if you have: no bowel movement within 6 hours after taking the medicine, pain with bowel movements, rectal bleeding, watery diarrhea, Nausea, vomiting, severe stomach pain, painful or difficult urination, flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling), a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out, weak or shallow breathing, slow heartbeats or muscle weakness, increased thirst. Common side effects may include: loose stools, diarrhea, stomach cramps, upset stomach, dizziness or increased sweating.

Medicine interaction:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Potrate-MB6 Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions.
