Description:

Ferrous Fumarate (Livogen-Z) is an iron preparation that is used in the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency

Uses / Indications:

Livogen Z Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: During pregnancy Anemia Anaemia Skin infection Treatment of megaloblastic anemias due to a deficiency of folic acid Treatment of anemias of nutritional origin, pregnancy, infancy, or childhood For eye and ear wash Infections of the skin Poor absorption of food Folate deficiency Livogen Z Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed here.

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not take Livogen-Z Captabs 15's if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Livogen-Z Captabs 15's if you have blood disorder, stomach ulcers, folate dependant tumour, iron overload syndrome, pernicious anaemia, haemolytic anaemia, kidney/liver problems or if you receive blood transfusions. Consult a doctor before taking Livogen-Z Captabs 15's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Livogen-Z Captabs 15's should be given to children only if prescribed by the doctor. It is unknown if alcohol interacts with Livogen-Z Captabs 15's, so please consult a doctor. Let your doctor know if you are using a prescription, non-prescription drugs, or herbal products before starting Livogen-Z Captabs 15's.

Side Effects:

Constipation, darkened or green stools, diarrhea, loss of appetite, Nausea, stomach discomfort. Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur: Severe allergic reactions (rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue), black, tarry stools, blood or streaks of blood in the stool, severe or persistent stomach pain.

Medicine interaction:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Livogen Z Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Livogen Z Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products: Acetaminophen Albuterol Alcohol Ascorbic acid Barbiturates Cholecalciferol Diphenylhydantoin Heparin Ichthammol Iron salts
