Information about Ferikind Tablet

Description:

FERIKIND is a member of the vitamin B family that stimulates the hematopoietic system. It is present in the liver and kidney and is found in mushrooms, spinach, yeast, green leaves, and grasses (poaceae). Ferikind is used in the treatment and prevention of folate deficiencies and megaloblastic anemia.

Uses / Indications:

Ferikind Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Anaemia, Treatment of megaloblastic anemias due to a deficiency of folic acid, Anemia, Iron deficiencies, Treatment of anemias of nutritional origin, pregnancy, infancy, or childhood.

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not take Ferikind Tablet 10's if you are allergic to Ferikind Tablet 10's, iron, folic acid, or any of the ingredients of Ferikind Tablet 10's. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor. Ferikind Tablet 10's is generally given at least 4 weeks before pregnancy and is continued up to 3 months of pregnancy. Also, if giving Ferikind Tablet 10's to a child, a child specialist's dose will be decided as an overdose of Ferikind Tablet 10's in children can lead to deadly poisoning. If you have got any part of the stomach removed, please inform your doctor before taking Ferikind Tablet 10's.

Side Effects:

Constipation, darkened or green stools, Ferrous sulfate:diarrhea, Nausea, stomach upset. Severe allergic reactions (rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue), black, tarry stools, blood or streaks of blood in the stool, fever, vomiting with continuing sharp stomach pain. Cyanocobalamin: Arthritis, anxiety, back pain, dizziness, general aching, headache, infection, nasal infection, Nausea, sore throat, upset stomach, vomiting

Medicine interaction:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Ferikind Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Ferikind Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products: Alcohol, Ascorbic acid, Aspirin, Barbiturates, Cetirizine, Cholecalciferol, Cyanocobalamin, Diphenylhydantoin, Levofloxacin, Methotrexate.
