Description:

Doxylamine succinate (Easypreg-OD) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Antihistamines can cause drowsiness and are sometimes used a sleep aids. Doxylamine succinate (Easypreg-OD) is used to treat sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, hives, skin rash, itching, and other cold or allergy symptoms. Doxylamine succinate (Easypreg-OD) is also used as a short-term treatment for sleep problems (insomnia).

Uses / Indications:

Easypreg OD Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Morning sickness in pregnant women, Treatment of anemias of nutritional origin, pregnancy, infancy, or childhood, Increased requirement of folate in the body during pregnancy, Heart disease, High cholesterol, Clogged arteries, Insomnia, Allergic reactions, Cold, Allergic symptoms.

Interactions / Warnings:

Easypreg OD Tablet 10's is usually prescribed for pregnant women to prevent Nausea and vomiting. So, do not use it for any other indication without consulting your doctor. It is not recommended to use Easypreg OD Tablet 10's along with monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors (antidepressants). In addition, inform your doctor if you are receiving anticoagulant (blood thinners) therapy, sleeping pills, pain killers and cough or cold medicines. Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly as it may lead to the recurrence of your symptoms.

Side Effects:

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome: Dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, throat, and nose, thickening of mucus in nose or throat. Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur: Severe allergic reactions (rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue), convulsions, decreased alertness, decreased urination, excitability, fast heartbeat, hallucinations, seizures, severe drowsiness, tightness or pounding in the chest, tremor, wheezing. Medicine interaction:

Easypreg OD Tablet 10's may interact with blood thinners, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (selegiline, rasagiline, and tranylcypromine, etc.), sleeping pills (zolpidem, alprazolam, and triazolam, etc.), certain pain medicines (morphine and methadone, etc.), and cough or cold medicines (brompheniramine, chlorpheniramine, and diphenhydramine, etc.).
