Description:

Acetaminophen is a pain reliever and fever reducer. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose). Nasivion NASAL DROPS (Acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine, and pseudoephedrine) is a combination medicine used to treat headache, fever, body aches, runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and sinus congestion caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu. Nasivion NASAL DROPS may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Uses / Indications:

Nasivion Moist Adult Nasal Spray is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions: Rosacea Nasal congestion

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Do not take if you have heart or blood vessel disease, high blood pressure (hypertension), overActive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), glaucoma (internal pressure in the eye), diabetes and prostate problems. Also, do not take this medicine if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (for depression) or have taken them in the last 14 days. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Side Effects:

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention. When Nasivion NASAL DROPS is used for short periods of time at low doses, side effects usually are rare. Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur: With overuse or long-term use Increase in irritation or redness of eyes Symptoms of too much medicine being absorbed into the body Fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeat headache or lightheadedness nervousness trembling trouble in sleeping Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.

Medicine interaction:

Nasivion 0.05% Classic Adult Nasal Spray, 10 ml may interact with antihypertensives, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (antidepressants), other antidepressants (desipramine and imipramine), medications used to treat heart diseases, a medication used to treat migraine (ergotamine) and medications used to treat enlarged prostate gland.
