Information about Mucolite Tablet

Description:

Mucolite is a cough suppressant and expectorant combination. The cough suppressant works in the brain to help decrease the cough reflex to reduce a dry cough. The expectorant works by loosening mucus and lung secretions in the chest and making coughs more productive.Relieving cough and throat and airway irritation due to colds, flu, or hay fever. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Uses / Indications:

Mucolite Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Acute sore throat Acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases associated with abnormal mucus secretion Thickened mucus cough Respiratory tract diseases Disorders of the respiratory tract Mucolite Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed here.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using brompheniramine and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as: fast or uneven heart rate, mood changes, tremor, seizure (convulsions), easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness, feeling short of breath or urinating less than usual or not at all. Less serious side effects may include: dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, nose, or throat, constipation, blurred vision or feeling nervous or restless.

Medicine interaction:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Mucolite Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions.
