Maxepa are found in oil from certain types of fish, vegetables, and other plant sources. These fatty acids are not made by the body and must be consumed in the diet. Maxepa work by lowering the body's production of triglycerides. High levels of triglycerides can lead to coronary artery disease, heart disease, and stroke. Maxepa are used together with diet and exercise to help lower triglyceride levels in the blood. It is not known if Maxepa will prevent a heart attack or stroke. Maxepa Capsule 30's might affect liver function. So, your doctor may perform blood tests while using Maxepa Capsule 30's to evaluate liver function. Inform your doctor if you have had surgery or trauma recently, as Maxepa Capsule 30's may increase bleeding risk. Do not take more than recommended doses (also take into account dietary intake of DHA and EPA) as it might lead to a decrease in blood pressure, increase in the risk of bleeding, and increase in blood sugar levels.
