Lactifiber Granules Tablet is used for Constipation, Symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, Inflammatory bowel syndrome, Pregnancy-associated constipation, Swollen vein in anus regions, Small tear in the tissue that lines the anus, Muscle spasm in the colon, Inflammatory bowel disease and other conditions. Lactifiber Granules Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Lactifiber Granules Tablet contains Ispaghula and Lactitol as Active ingredients. Lactifiber Granules Tablet works by reducing the intestinal pH and lowering the production and absorption of ammonia; absorbing more water and fiber in the intestine;

Do not take Lactifiber Granules 180 gm if you are allergic to any of its contents. Consult your doctor before taking Lactifiber Granules 180 gm if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; your doctor will prescribe you Lactifiber Granules 180 gm only if the benefits outweigh the risks. Do not take Lactifiber Granules 180 gm in case of ileostomy or colostomy. Regularly monitor serum electrolytes, blood lactose and blood glucose levels while taking Lactifiber Granules 180 gm. Talk to your doctor if there is no bowel movement or if you find rectal bleeding after taking Lactifiber Granules 180 gm. Do not take Lactifiber Granules 180 gm if you have galactosaemia (galactose indigestion disorder), intestinal obstruction, unexplained abdominal pain or bleeding. Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, or if you have to undergo a colonoscopy. Do not take Lactifiber Granules 180 gm for more than a week as it may cause dependency on Lactifiber Granules 180 gm for a bowel movement.
