Description:

Revocon (Revocon) reduces the amount of certain chemicals in the body that are overly Active in people with Huntington's disease. Revocon is used to treat Huntington's chorea (uncontrolled muscle movements). Revocon may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Uses / Indications:

Revocon Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Jerking movement in other parts of the body Uncontrolled jerking movement in face Neurodegenerative genetic disorder Jerking movement in tongue

Interactions / Warnings:

You may have unusual changes in mood or behavior, trouble sitting still, feel nervous, and irritable. Sit or stand slowly if you feel dizzy. Check the progress of Revocon Tablet 10's at regular doctor visits and keep track of the symptoms and side effects if noticed any. It may make some people severely depressed and increase the risks of suicidal thoughts and tendencies. Do not take these medicines together with other medications such as resperine and MAO inhibitors. Do not use if you are severely depressed and is on current treatment with antidepressants.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction to Revocon: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Report any new or worsening symptoms to your doctor, such as: mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you feel impulsive, irritable, agitated, hostile, aggressive, restless, hyperActive (mentally or physically), more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself. Call your doctor at once if you have: tremors, shaking, restless movement, problems with balance, uncontrolled muscle movements in your face (chewing, lip smacking, frowning, tongue movement, blinking or eye movement), trouble swallowing, fast or pounding heartbeats, a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out or severe nervous system reaction--very stiff (rigid) muscles, high fever, sweating, confusion, fast or uneven heartbeats. Common Revocon side effects may include: drowsiness, tiredness, depressed mood, Nausea or feeling anxious, agitated, or restless.

Medicine interaction:

Care should be exercised when Revocon Tablet 10's is administered in combination with MAO inhibitors (isocarboxazid, linezolid, rasagiline, selegiline, methylene blue injection), antipsychotic medicine or mental/mood conditions (quetiapine, olanzapine, escitalopram, haloperidol, clozapine), to avoid serious drug interactions.
