Information about Liofen 25 Tablet

Description:

FIRST Liofen is a muscle relaxer and an antispastic agent. FIRST Liofen is used to treat muscle symptoms caused by multiple sclerosis, including spasm, pain, and stiffness. FIRST Liofen is sometimes used to treat muscle spasms and other symptoms in people with injury or disease of the spinal cord. FIRST Liofen may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Uses / Indications:

Liofen 25 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Alcoholism Spasticity Charcot-marie-tooth disease Liofen 25 Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed here.

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not take Liofen 25 Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents or if you ever had a stomach ulcer. Talk to your doctor before taking Liofen 25 Tablet 10's if you have kidney or liver problems, mental disorders, breathing difficulty or lung disease, diabetes, difficulty in urination, high blood pressure, Parkinson’s disease, or if you ever had a stroke. Consult your doctor before taking Liofen 25 Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Your doctor will prescribe Liofen 25 Tablet 10's only if the benefits outweigh the risks. Liofen 25 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children below four years of age and those who weigh below 33 kg. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and about your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side-effects. Few people who take Liofen 25 Tablet 10's may have thoughts of killing themselves. Please talk to your doctor immediately if you experience mood swings, depressed, or if you have any suicidal thoughts. Your doctor may advise you to undergo regular blood tests to monitor liver function. Inform your doctor that you are taking Liofen 25 Tablet 10's if you are experiencing any operation which requires a general anaesthetic.

Side Effects:

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention. Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur: Less common or rare Bloody or dark urine chest pain fainting mental depression or other mood changes ringing or buzzing in the ears seeing or hearing things that are not there skin rash or itching Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur: Symptoms of overdose Blurred vision convulsions difficult or troubled breathing dizziness drowsiness irregular, fast or slow, or shallow breathing lightheadedness loss of strength or energy muscle pain or weakness pale or blue lips, fingernails, or skin sleepiness or unusual drowsiness unusual weak feeling unusually slow or troubled breathing Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them: More common Confusion constipation dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position headache increased need to urinate Nausea passing urine more often sweating trouble sleeping unusual tiredness or weakness Less common or rare Abdominal or stomach pain or discomfort clumsiness, unsteadiness, trembling, or other problems with muscle control diarrhea false sense of well-being loss of appetite muscle or joint pain numbness or tingling in the hands or feet pounding heartbeat slurred speech or other speech problems stuffy nose swelling of the ankles unexplained muscle stiffness unusual excitement weight gain Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.

Medicine interaction:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Liofen 25 Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Liofen 25 Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products: Alcohol Central nervous system depressants Morphine
