Description:

Macrogols of high molecular weight are long linear polymers on which water molecules are bound by hydrogen bonds. Administered by oral route, they give rise to an increase in the volume of intestinal liquids. The volume of unabsorbed intestinal liquid is responsible for laxative properties of the solution.

Uses / Indications:

Systane Ultra Ophthalmic Solution is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Occasional constipation Hemolysis Central nervous system depression Hyperosmolality Lactic acidosis
