Description:
Zocon 200mg Tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of Antifungals. The primary composition for this medicine is Fluconazole 200 MG.
Uses / Indications:
Zocon 200 Tablet is used to treat the fungal infection of the vagina (also called, vaginal candidiasis). This medicine works by preventing the formation of an enzyme (ergosterol) which is necessary for the synthesis of the fungal cell wall. Zocon 200 is also used to treat fungal infection of mouth, throat, and pharynx. It is also used to treat brain and spinal cord infection (cryptococcal meningitis) in AIDS patients. Zocon 200 is also used to prevent fungal infection in patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation who receive radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Zocon 200 Tablet is also used to treat urinary tract infection. Zocon 200 is also used to treat inflammation of membrane that covers abdominal organs (peritonitis). Zocon 200 Tablet is also used to treat pneumonia. Zocon 200 is also used to treat fungal infection of the blood (candidemia). Zocon 200 Tablet is also used to treat fungal infection of internal body organs such as liver, kidney, brain, and heart (disseminated candidiasis). Zocon 200 is also used to treat fungal inflammation of penis head (candidal balanitis).
Interactions / Warnings:
Although there are rare cases of adverse hepatic effects during Zocon-200 Tablet 3's treatment, it is advisable to check on possibilities. Severe hepatic reactions like necrosis (death of cells or tissue), clinical hepatitis (inflammation of the liver), cholestasis (reduction or blockage of bile from the liver), and sudden hepatic failure are reported during Zocon-200 Tablet 3's therapy. Zocon-200 Tablet 3's is associated with liver toxicity, including fatalities in patients with other serious underlying diseases. Treatment with Zocon-200 Tablet 3's should be immediately discontinued in such cases. Zocon-200 Tablet 3's may also cause heart problems (like irregular heart rhythm), so it should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases. Pregnant or lactating women should consult the doctor before taking this drug. Zocon-200 Tablet 3's may not be suitable for some people who have weakened immune system, diabetes, cancer, or low blood magnesium or potassium levels.
