Uses / Indications:
Zentel Suspension is used to treat tapeworm infection that affects the brain muscles and body tissues neurocysticercosis This medicine works by destroying the growth of parasitic worms This medicine helps by preventing the production of energy adenosine triphosphate which is essential for the growth of parasitic worms Zentel is also used to treat parasitic infection which affects the liver lungs and peritoneum hydatid disease Zentel Suspension may also be used together with other medicines to treat certain conditions as recommended by the doctor It is used in combination with Corticosteroid to prevent the increased pressure inside the skull during the first week of treatment It is also used with anticonvulsants to prevent brain related symptoms such as seizures while undergoing treatment with Zentel
Interactions / Warnings:
Do not take Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml if you are allergic to any of its contents Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml may cause bone marrow suppression aplastic anaemia and agranulocytosis Inform your doctor if you have had liver disease if you have any surgery including dental surgery Consult your doctor immediately if you experience seizures vomiting headache extreme tiredness or behaviour changes while taking Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml Regular monitoring of blood cell count and liver function is advised during treatment with Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml might increase the chances of getting an infection maintain proper hygiene and try to stay away from people with infections flu or cold Consult your doctor if you notice unusual bleeding or bruising as you may bleed or bruise easily while taking Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml Do not take Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy as it may cause foetal harm Do not breastfeed during and for minimum 5 days after treatment with Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml may cause dizziness so be cautious while driving Zentel Oral Suspension 10 ml can be given to children above 2 years if prescribed by the doctor
