Uribid is used to treat urinary tract infections. Uribid is an antibiotic. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. However, Uribid will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections. Uribid is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Do not take Uribid 100 Tablet 15's if you are allergic or have had a severe reaction to Uribid 100 Tablet 15's or any other medicines in the past, or inherited conditions such as porphyria (a blood disorder), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, severe kidney disease, diabetes, or any illness-causing severe weakness, anaemia or vitamin B deficiency. Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had a kidney, heart, or lung transplant, a joint or tendon disorder such as rheumatoid arthritis (an autoimmune disorder of joints causing pain, swelling, and loss of function), seizures (fits), epilepsy or if you participate in regular physical Activity. Taking Uribid 100 Tablet 15's may worsen muscle weakness in people with myasthenia gravis (a nervous system disorder that causes muscle weakness) and cause severe difficulty breathing or death. Grapefruit, foods rich in calcium should be avoided along with Uribid 100 Tablet 15's. And also, exposure to sunlight should be avoided while taking Uribid 100 Tablet 15's as it may cause increased phototoxicity or photosensitivity. Patients with epilepsy and irregular heartbeat (QT prolongation) should tell their doctor before taking Uribid 100 Tablet 15's.
