Interactions / Warnings:
Let your doctor know if you are sensitive to Bacitracin, Neomycin, Polymyxin B, or other medications. Aminoglycoside antibiotics like Neomycin are highly absorbed when applied on burned skin and can also cause kidney problems. Let your doctor know if you have kidney disease, myasthenia gravis (neuromuscular disease), or Parkinson's disease (a brain disorder that affects movement) before using Neomycin. Prolonged use of Neosporin Dusting Powder 10 gm can cause an overgrowth of other microorganisms like fungi and develop bacterial resistance. Bacterial keratitis (an infection of the cornea) and ocular infections (eye infections) may also develop when topical eye products of Neosporin Dusting Powder 10 gm get contaminated by patients with eye diseases. Avoid contacting Neosporin Dusting Powder 10 gm dispensing containers with eyes, eyelids, fingers, and other surfaces to prevent contamination. Avoid applying Neosporin Dusting Powder 10 gm cream on sunburns, lesions, blisters, and open wounds. Neosporin Dusting Powder 10 gm contains Neomycin, which may have harmful effects on the baby; hence Neosporin Dusting Powder 10 gm should be used with caution in pregnancy under your doctor's supervision. Let your doctor know if you plan to become pregnant or already pregnant and a lactating mother. If you apply Neosporin Dusting Powder 10 gm to breasts or nipples for treatment, wash it off while nursing your baby.
