Levoflox Injection is used to treat bacterial infections in many different parts of the body. It is also used to prevent an anthrax infection after a person has been exposed to anthrax. Levoflox is also used to treat and prevent plague (including pneumonic and septicemic plague). Levoflox belongs to the class of medicines known as quinolone antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. However, Levoflox will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections. Levoflox is to be given only by or under the direct supervision of your doctor.

Do not take Levoflox 250 Tablet 10's if you are allergic or have had a severe reaction to any fluoroquinolone antibiotics such as delafloxacin, gemifloxacin, ofloxacin, moxifloxacin, and ciprofloxacin. Taking Levoflox 250 Tablet 10's may increase the chances of developing tendinitis (swelling of a fibrous tissue that connects a bone to a muscle) or have a tendon rupture (tearing of a fibrous tissue that connects a bone to a muscle). Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had a kidney, heart, or lung transplant, kidney disease, a joint or tendon disorder such as rheumatoid arthritis (an autoimmune disorder of joints causing pain, swelling, and loss of function), seizures (fits), epilepsy or if you participate in regular physical Activity. Taking Levoflox 250 Tablet 10's may worsen muscle weakness in people with myasthenia gravis (a nervous system disorder that causes muscle weakness) and cause severe difficulty breathing or death. Dairy products should be avoided along with Levoflox 250 Tablet 10's. And also, exposure to sunlight should be avoided while taking Levoflox 250 Tablet 10's as it may cause increased phototoxicity or photosensitivity. Patients with epilepsy and irregular heartbeat (QT prolongation) should tell their doctor before taking Levoflox 250 Tablet 10's.
