Augmentin Duo Syrup is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms : Lower Respiratory Tract Infections Abscesses Bacterial Infections Parathyroid fever Typhoid Lower respiratory tract infections Infection after surgery Urinary tract infections Otitis media Sinusitis

Interactions / Warnings:

After taking Augmentin DUO Oral Suspension 30 ml, if you have an allergy-like symptom, including rash, swelling of the face/lips/throat, difficulty in breathing, or tightness in the chest, immediately contact your doctor. Do not take Augmentin DUO Oral Suspension 30 ml if you have an allergy to Augmentin DUO Oral Suspension 30 ml, penicillin or cephalosporin class of antibiotics as it may cause skin rash, itching, and difficulty in breathing. People having a liver disease or jaundice (yellowing of skin/eye) should not take Augmentin DUO Oral Suspension 30 ml, as it can damage your liver severely. You may have diarrhea in some cases, which can be managed by taking it with any probiotics and plenty of fluids.

Side Effects:

Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Loose stools (diarrhea). Yogurt or probiotics may help. You may get these products at health food stores or in some pharmacies. For women, vaginal yeast infection. Report itching or discharge.

Medicine interaction:

Care should be exercised when Augmentin DUO Oral Suspension 30 ml is administered in combination with gout medicine (allopurinol, probenecid), blood thinner (warfarin), anticancer, or anti-arthritis drug (methotrexate), and drug to prevent organ transplant (mycophenolate mofetil).
