Information about Meftal P Tablet

Description:

Meftal-P is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Meftal-P works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Meftal-P is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by arthritis. It is also used to treat menstrual pain. Meftal-P may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Uses / Indications:

Meftal-P Dispersible Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Analgesic Pain during periods Heavy bleeding during periods Fever Inflammation Migraine headache Tooth pain Muscle pain Joint pain Pain after surgery Meftal-P Dispersible Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed here.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop taking Meftal-P and seek medical attention or call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects: chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, problems with vision or balance, black, bloody, or tarry stools, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, urinating less than usual or not at all, pain, burning, or bleeding when you urinate, Nausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash or bruising, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness. Less serious side effects may include: upset stomach, mild heartburn or stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, gas, dizziness, headache, nervousness, skin itching or rash, dry mouth, increased sweating, runny nose, blurred vision or ringing in your ears.

Medicine interaction:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Meftal-P Dispersible Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Meftal-P Dispersible Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products: Antidiabetic medications Captopril Ciclosporin Digoxin Enalapril Lithium Methotrexate Prednisone Probenecid Sulfapyridine
