Alfoo is used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign enlargement of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). Benign enlargement of the prostate is a problem that can occur in men as they get older. The prostate gland is located below the bladder. As the prostate gland enlarges, certain muscles in the gland may become tight and get in the way of the tube that drains urine from the bladder. This can cause problems with urinating, such as a need to urinate often, a weak stream when urinating, or a feeling of not being able to empty the bladder completely. Alfoo helps relax the muscles in the prostate and the opening of the bladder. This may help increase the flow of urine or decrease the symptoms. However, Alfoo will not shrink the prostate. The prostate may continue to get larger. This may cause the symptoms to become worse over time. Therefore, even though Alfoo may lessen the problems caused by enlarged prostate now, surgery still may be needed in the future. Alfoo is usually given only to men. It is not normally given to women or children. Alfoo is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Do not take Alfoo 10 mg Tablet 30's if you are allergic to any of its contents; if you are taking any other alpha-blockers; if you have postural hypotension or severe liver problems. Inform your doctor before taking Alfoo 10 mg Tablet 30's if you have angina, urinary tract infections or crystals in the formed water, high blood pressure, circulatory problems, heart problems; if you are due to having any surgery that requires anaesthesia; if you are older than 65years or if you get painful erections before or during the treatment that will not go away. Talk to your doctor before taking Alfoo 10 mg Tablet 30's if you are undergoing eye surgery. Alfoo 10 mg Tablet 30's is intended for use in men only; women should not take Alfoo 10 mg Tablet 30's, especially pregnant or breastfeeding women. Alfoo 10 mg Tablet 30's should not be given to children as the safety and efficacy have not been established. Alfoo 10 mg Tablet 30's causes dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid or limit alcohol consumption along with Alfoo 10 mg Tablet 30's as it could lead to increased dizziness. Rise slowly from a sitting/lying position as Alfoo 10 mg Tablet 30's can cause dizziness or weakness.
