Sevista Tablet is a medication utilized as an oral contraceptive pill. It helps to prevent pregnancy as it does not allow implantation of the fertilized ovum to the womb (uterus). In higher doses, Sevista Tablet is also utilized to control abnormal vaginal bleeding in women who have not attained menopause (end of the monthly menstrual period). This medication is only taken once a week, either with or without food. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor is the right person to decide the exact dose, hence follow your doctor's advice. It is a non-hormonal medication with very minimal side effects but in some cases, it may cause irregularity in your menstrual cycle. If this bothers you or appears serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing this. Before taking this medication let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as many of these may make this medication less effective or change the way it works.
