Information about Pruvict 1 Tablet

Description:

Pruvict is used to treat chronic idiopathic (unknown cause) constipation (CIC). It works by increasing peristalsis (contractions) in the colon, leading to an increase in the number of bowel movements. Pruvict is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Uses / Indications:

Pruvict 1 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Chronic constipation in women Pruvict 1 Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed here.

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not take Pruvict 1 Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you are on renal dailysis, have perforation/obstruction of the gut wall, inflammation of intestinal tract, Crohn’s disease, toxic megacolon/megarectum or ulcerative colitis. Inform your doctor if you have AIDS, hormonal problems, neurological disease, suicidal tendency, mood disorder, cancer, heart, kidney or liver problems. Avoid taking Pruvict 1 Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Pruvict 1 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children below 18years as the safety and effectiveness have not been established. Pruvict 1 Tablet 10's may cause dizziness and tiredness, so drive only if you are alert.

Side Effects:

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention. Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur: Less common Frequent urination of small amounts of urine in the daytime headache, severe and throbbing Rare Chest pain or discomfort confusion difficulty in speaking double vision headache inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles inability to speak Nausea pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck slow speech sweating thoughts or attempts at killing oneself troubled breathing vomiting Incidence not known Hives or welts, itching, skin rash redness of the skin swelling of the face tightness in the chest Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them: More common Diarrhea stomach pain Less common Abnormal stomach or bowel sounds bloated or full feeling decreased appetite dizziness excess air or gas in the stomach or bowels passing gas stomach distension unusual tiredness or weakness Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.

Medicine interaction:

Pruvict 1 Tablet 10's may have interaction with antihistamine (diphenhydramine).
