Valera M 1000 Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines used to control high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This helps prevent serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, blindness, and may reduce your chance of having a heart attack or stroke. Valera M 1000 Tablet SR can be prescribed alone or together with other diabetes medications. All diabetes medicines work best when used along with a healthy diet and regular exercise. The dose you are given will depend on your condition, blood sugar levels, and what other medicines you are taking. Taking it with meals helps to reduce the chances of developing an upset stomach.

Do not take Valera M 1000 Tablet 15's if you are allergic to any of its contents. Do not use this medicine if you have heart failure, bladder cancer, or diabetic ketoacidosis (a complication of diabetes). Valera M 1000 Tablet 15's may cause lactic acidosis (accumulation of lactic acid in the blood), which requires immediate medical attention. The risk increases if you are previously diagnosed with kidney or liver diseases. Do not consume alcohol with Valera M 1000 Tablet 15's as it may increase the risk of lactic acidosis or fast for prolonged periods as it might increase the risk of hypoglycaemia. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
