K-PIO is an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. K-PIO is for people with type 2 diabetes. K-PIO is sometimes used in combination with insulin or other medications, but it is not for treating type 1 diabetes. K-PIO may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Fluid retention (oedema) may occur and can lead to congestive heart failure so, combination use with insulin and use in heart failure may increase risk in patients taking K-Pio 15 Tablet 15's. You should not take K-Pio 15 Tablet 15's if you have kidney disease, as measured by a blood test. K-Pio 15 Tablet 15's, when used with or without insulin, has the tendency to extremely lower the blood sugar level. So, the doctor may lower the dose of insulin. Increased fractures may be reported in some women taking K-Pio 15 Tablet 15's. Patients with bladder cancer and macular oedema (fluid build-up in the macula part of the retina of the eye) should consult the doctor before using K-Pio 15 Tablet 15's.
