Description:

Glimestar M 2mg Forte Tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of Antidiabetic Agents. The primary composition for this medicine is Glimepiride 2 MG, Metformin 1000 MG.

Uses / Indications:

Glimestar M2 Forte PR Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, Maturity onset diabetes, Type 2 diabetes mellitus, Polycystic ovary syndrome.

Interactions / Warnings:

Some diabetic patient taking Glimestar M 4 Forte Tablet 10's may develop a serious condition called lactic acidosis. In lactic acidosis, there is too much of lactic acid accumulated in the blood. So, your liver and kidney proper functioning is required for the elimination of excess lactic acid from the blood. You should not take metformin if you have kidney disease, as measured by a blood test. Glimestar M 4 Forte Tablet 10's may lower vitamin B12 levels, so try to have blood test annual blood and vitamin. Metformin when used with insulin may extremely lower the blood sugar level. So, the doctor may lower the dose of insulin.

Side Effects:

Low blood sugar. Signs include anger, shaking, a fast heartbeat, confusion, or sweating. Keep hard candies, glucose tablets, liquid glucose, or juice on hand for low blood sugar. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Weight gain.

This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Glimestar M2 Forte PR Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products: Albuterol, Alcohol, Anabolic steroids, Androgens, Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, Anti-diabetic drugs, Atypical antipsychotic medications, Barbiturates, Beta blockers, Chloramphenicol.
