Description:

Gabapentin (Gabapin NT) is used to help control partial seizures (convulsions) in the treatment of epilepsy. Gabapentin (Gabapin NT) cannot cure epilepsy and will only work to control seizures for as long as you continue to take it. Gabapentin (Gabapin NT) is also used in adults to manage a condition called postherpetic neuralgia, which is pain that occurs after shingles. Gabapentin (Gabapin NT) works in the brain to prevent seizures and relieve pain for certain conditions in the nervous system. It is not used for routine pain caused by minor injuries or arthritis. Gabapentin (Gabapin NT) is an anticonvulsant. Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although this use is not included in product labeling, Gabapentin (Gabapin NT) is used in certain patients with the following medical condition: Diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

Uses / Indications:

Gabapin Nt Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Management of postherpetic neuralgia, Long standing pain in legs, Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial seizures, Depression, Trigeminal nerve disease, Long standing pain in arms, Wed wetting in children, Fits.

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not take Gabapin NT Tablet 15's if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Gabapin NT Tablet 15's if you have or had heart problems or bipolar syndrome. Please do not stop taking Gabapin NT Tablet 15's without consulting your doctor as it could cause withdrawal symptoms. Do not take Gabapin NT Tablet 15's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Gabapin NT Tablet 15's causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Gabapin NT Tablet 15's should not be given to children unless prescribed. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Gabapin NT Tablet 15's as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. For this reason you should avoid driving and operate heavy machinery. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience suicidal tendencies. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side-effects. Prolonged intake of Gabapin NT Tablet 15's can cause side effects like dry mouth, dry eyes, and dizziness. Let your doctor know about these side effects if it persists.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction to Gabapentin (Gabapin NT): hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Seek medical treatment if you have a skin rash with symptoms of a serious allergic reaction that can affect other parts of your body, including: fever, dark urine, blood in your urine, swollen glands, sore throat, extreme weakness or tiredness, unusual bruising or bleeding, muscle pain, or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). Report any new or worsening symptoms to your doctor, such as: mood or behavior changes, anxiety, depression, or if you feel agitated, hostile, restless, hyperActive (mentally or physically), or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself. Call your doctor at once if you have: increased seizures, severe weakness or tiredness, upper stomach pain, chest pain, new or worsening cough with fever, trouble breathing, severe tingling or numbness, rapid back and forth movement of your eyes, kidney problems--little or no urination, painful or difficult urination, swelling in your feet or ankles, feeling tired or short of breath or severe skin reaction--fever, sore throat, swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially in the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling. Some side effects are more likely in children taking Gabapentin (Gabapin NT). Contact your doctor if the child taking this medication has any of the following side effects: changes in behavior, memory problems, trouble concentrating or acting restless, hostile, or aggressive. Common Gabapentin (Gabapin NT) side effects may include: dizziness, drowsiness or headache.

Medicine interaction:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Gabapin Nt Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Gabapin Nt Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products: Alcohol, Antacid, Cimetidine, Clonidine, Diltiazem, Fluconazole, Fluoxetine, Hydrocodone, Morphine, Nabilone.
