Isotroin is used to treat severe, disfiguring nodular acne. It should be used only after other acne medicines have been tried and have failed to help the acne. Isotroin may also be used to treat other skin diseases as determined by your doctor. Isotroin must not be used to treat women who are able to bear children unless other forms of treatment have been tried first and have failed. Isotroin must not be taken during pregnancy because it causes birth defects in humans. If you are able to bear children, it is very important that you read, understand, and follow the pregnancy warnings for Isotroin. Isotroin is available only under a registered distribution program called the iPLEDGE program. Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although these uses are not included in product labeling, Isotroin is used in certain patients with the following medical conditions: Folliculitis, gram-negative (bacterial infection of the skin on the face beginning near the nose). Hidradenitis suppurativa (sweat gland problem). Rosacea (red skin disorder of the face, usually of the nose and cheeks). Thickened or patchy skin disorders, such as keratosis follicularis, palmoplantar keratoderma, lamellar ichthyosis, or pityriasis rubra pilaris.

Do not take Isotroin-10 Capsule 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as it may cause adverse effects in the baby. If you have depression or any suicidal thoughts while taking Isotroin-10 Capsule 10's or after stopping treatment with Isotroin-10 Capsule 10's, please consult a doctor. Avoid sun exposure while using Isotroin-10 Capsule 10's as it may make the skin more sensitive to sunlight and cause sunburn. Wear protective clothing and use a sunscreen while going out to protect your skin from sunburn. Do not undergo any cosmetic procedures while taking Isotroin-10 Capsule 10's and for minimum 6 months after stopping treatment with Isotroin-10 Capsule 10's as it may increase the risk of scarring. Inform your doctor if you have asthma, diabetes, hypervitaminosis A (high levels of vitamin A), liver or heart problems, weak bones, osteoporosis (bone loss), anorexia nervosa (an eating disorder where people eat too little), any mental problems such as psychosis (loss of contact with reality) or depression before taking Isotroin-10 Capsule 10's.
