Description:

Fucidin Cream is a substance that is used to treat bacterial infections. It will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections. Fucidin Cream is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Uses / Indications:

Fucidin Cream is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Hemorrhoids Itching/swelling in the rectum and anus Intestinal problems Ulcerative colitis of the rectum Rectal pain Bloody diarrhea Impetigo Infected dermatitis and spots Infected cuts and grazes Skin infections

Interactions / Warnings:

If you are allergic to Fucidin Cream 15 gm or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking Fucidin Cream 15 gm. Do not swallow Fucidin Cream 15 gm. In case of accidental swallowing, please consult a doctor. Do not apply Fucidin Cream 15 gm in the eye as it may lead to glaucoma or cataract. If you experience blurred vision or other vision disturbances, please consult a doctor. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with bandages unless advised by your doctor as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Avoid smoking or going near naked flames as the fabric (bedding, clothing, dressings) in contact with Fucidin Cream 15 gm catches fire and burns easily, which is a serious fire hazard. Do not apply Fucidin Cream 15 gm in large amounts or use for a long time than prescribed as it does not give quick or better results but increases the risk of side effects and makes skin more sensitive to Fucidin Cream 15 gm. If you have rosacea (redness and often red, small, pus-filled bumps on the face), acne, perioral dermatitis (redness and swelling of the skin around the mouth), tuberculosis, diabetes, syphilis (a bacterial infection), chickenpox or sores, athlete’s foot, broken veins or skin ulcers, please inform your doctor before using Fucidin Cream 15 gm.

Side Effects:

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention. Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur: Rare Unusual tiredness or weakness yellow eyes or skin Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them: Less common Loss of appetite Nausea abdominal or stomach pain increase in bowel movements loose stools Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Fucidin Cream may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions.
