Information about Flucort Cream

Description:

Flucort Skin Cream is used for Inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, Skin infections, Infections of the skin, Treatment of chronic eczematous external otitis (otic), Skin disease, Treatment of diabetic macular edema (ophthalmic) and other conditions. Flucort Skin Cream may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Flucort Skin Cream contains Fluocinolone Topical as an Active ingredient. Flucort Skin Cream works by providing relief from inflammatory skin diseases.

Uses / Indications:

FLUCORT Cream is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses Skin infections Infections of the skin Treatment of inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions (topical) Treatment of chronic eczematous external otitis (otic)

Interactions / Warnings:

FLUCORT CREAM 30GM should not be applied to damaged skin or open wounds. It should be used with caution in children as it may delay growth. It can increase your risk of infections as it can suppress the immune system. It should be used with caution in patients with diabetes, liver disease and skin infections. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Side Effects:

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Flucort Skin Cream. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away. Itching Acneiform eruptions Burning Irritation Dryness Folliculitis Hypertrichosis Perioral dermatitis Allergic contact dermatitis Skin atrophy Striae Miliaria Flucort Skin Cream may also cause side-effects not listed here.

Medicine interaction:

FLUCORT CREAM 30GM should not be used along with medicine used for diabetes insipidus (desmopressin). It increases the risk of a severe decrease in sodium levels in the blood. It may also interact with blood thinners (nadroparin and bemiparin) and increase the risk of bleeding. When used in combination with a drug that stimulates the immune system (sargramostim), it increases the risk of side-effects. Combining a medication used for the diagnosis of growth hormone deficiency (macimorelin) causes false-positive or false-negative results in the diagnosis of adult growth hormone deficiency.
