Description:

Canesten V6 Vaginal Pessary is used for Treatment of athlete's foot, Treatment of jock itch, Treatment of ringworm, Relief of itching, Burning, Cracking, And scaling associated with athlete's foot, Jock itch and ringworm, Prevention of oral thrush and other conditions. Canesten V6 Vaginal Pessary may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Canesten V6 Vaginal Pessary contains Clotrimazole as an Active ingredient. Canesten V6 Vaginal Pessary works by inhibiting the growth of fungi.

Uses / Indications:

Canesten V6 Tablet is used to treat the fungal infection of the mouth. This medicine works by blocking the synthesis of a substance in the cell membranes of fungi. It may lead to functional and structural dysfunction of fungi. Canesten V6 is also used to reduce the incidence of fungal infection of the mouth in patients with reduced body immunity due to the treatment of blood cancer, kidney transplantation, or solid tumors by radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or steroid therapy.

Interactions / Warnings:

Avoid putting Canesten V6 Tablet 6's near your mouth, lips and eyes. This product contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions (like contact dermatitis). Tell a doctor before using Canesten V6 Tablet 6's if you are using Framycetin and Dexamethasone ear drops as it can interact and affect the working of Canesten V6 Tablet 6's. If your baby is being treated for oral thrush you can continue breastfeeding. But in some cases, you might need to be treated at the same time. If you are applying Canesten V6 Tablet 6's on your breast or nipple try to wash it before breastfeeding your baby.

Side Effects:

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Canesten V6 Vaginal Pessary. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away. Medicine interaction:

Canesten V6 Tablet 6's may cause damage to latex contraceptives. Consequently, the effectiveness of such contraceptives may be reduced. Patients should be advised to use alternative precautions for at least five days after using this product.
