Nimulid-MD is a relatively COX-2 selective, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and antipyretic properties. Its approved indications are the treatment of acute pain, the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis and primary dysmenorrhoea in adolescents and adults above 12 years old. Due to concerns about the risk of hepatotoxicity, Nimulid-MD has been withdrawn from market in many countries.

Nimulid MD Tablet 15's should not be taken in patients who have a history of hypersensitivity (allergic reaction) to Nimulid MD Tablet 15's or other pain killers like aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. Please inform your doctor before starting Nimulid MD Tablet 15's if you have an Active stomach ulcer, recent gastrointestinal bleeding, asthma, recent by-pass heart surgery, heart disease, severe renal/hepatic impairment, or history of allergy to any painkillers as, Nimulid MD Tablet 15's may worsen your condition. Nimulid MD Tablet 15's is known to affect fertility, so Nimulid MD Tablet 15's should be avoided in pregnant females and breastfeeding females as it may pass the milk. Nimulid MD Tablet 15's may be associated with a small increase in the risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction). So, intake of Nimulid MD Tablet 15's is contraindicated in people who have prolonged QT wave (a kind of abnormal heartbeat in ECG) or irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia). Avoid alcohol consumption with Nimulid MD Tablet 15's as it may damage your liver and cause increased side effects on taking this drug. There can be an increased chance of problems with joints and tissues around joints in children under 18 years known as tendinitis or tendon rupture. So let your doctor know if your children have any joint problem during or after treatment with Nimulid MD Tablet 15's. You get severe sunburn or blisters on your skin as intake of Nimulid MD Tablet 15's may increase the sensitivity of the skin. Nimulid MD Tablet 15's should not be taken with dairy products (like milk or yoghurt) or calcium-fortified juices. Avoid Nimulid MD Tablet 15's in patients with a known history of myasthenia gravis (muscle wasting syndrome). Nimulid MD Tablet 15's should not be given in patients with bronchitis (breathing problem), cystitis (bladder swelling) and sinusitis (sinus infection and inflammation).
