LeviPil 250 Tablet is used to treat seizures affecting a part of the brain in adults and children 1 month or older with seizures a sudden increase in muscle tone in adults and children from 12 years with myoclonic epilepsy started in childhood or teen years seizures involving entire body in adults and children from 12 years with epilepsy with unknown cause LeviPil 250 is given as combined therapy in these conditions This medicine works by reducing abnormal brain excitement LeviPil 250 is also used to treat seizures affecting a part of the brain as single drug therapy in adults and children from 16 years with seizures

Interactions / Warnings:

Taking LeviPil 250 Tablet 10 s with other anti epileptic medication can cause severe drowsiness breathing problems coma and death LeviPil 250 Tablet 10 s should be taken with extreme caution in patients with a history of alcohol or drug abuse LeviPil 250 Tablet 10 s may affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery if taken with alcohol as you may feel dizzy and you may be unable to concentrate If you feel excess suicidal thoughts difficulty concentrating sleep disturbances dizziness or sleepiness let your doctor know about this Pregnant or lactating women should consult a doctor before taking it as Category C pregnancy medication Do not take LeviPil 250 Tablet 10 s if you are allergic to any of its Active ingredients suffer from lung disease liver disease glaucoma have difficulty in sleeping sleep apnoea LeviPil 250 Tablet 10 s can cause serious allergic reactions anaphylaxis which can be life threatening Please visit the doctor immediately if you have a rash itching trouble breathing trouble swallowing or swelling of your hands face or mouth while using this medicine

When two or more medicines are taken together it can change how the medicines work and increase the risk of side effects In medical terms this is called as a Drug Interaction This page does not contain all the possible interactions of LeviPil 250 Tablet Share a list of all medicines that you use with your doctor and pharmacist Do not start stop or change the dose of any medicines without the approval of your doctor Laxatives LeviPil 250 Tablet may interact with laxatives macrogol which are used to loosen stools and increase bowel movements Decreased LeviPil 250 efficacy have been seen when the osmotic laxatives macrogol have been used in combination with oral LeviPil 250 Therefore laxatives should be avoided taking orally for at least one hour before and after taking LeviPil 250 Probenecid There may be an interaction of LeviPil 250 with kidney tubular secretion blocking agent probenecid which is used to treat gout and high amount of uric acid Probenecid a dose of 500 mg four times daily has been shown to block the kidney clearance of the primary metabolite except for LeviPil 250 But the level of this metabolite remains low Methotrexate LeviPil 250 Tablet interacts with methotrexate which is used to treat cancer autoimmune diseases and medical abortions The combined use of LeviPil 250 and methotrexate has been seen to reduce methotrexate clearance Therefore resulting in raised or prolonged blood methotrexate level to potentially lethal levels Blood methotrexate and LeviPil 250 levels should be monitored carefully in patients treated with this combination Food and Alcohol Special instructions need to be followed while taking this medicine along with food and alcohol The absorption of LeviPil 250 was not changed by food but the rate of absorption was slightly decreased
