Information about Lanol Er Tablet

Description:

Lanol-ER (Lanol-ER) is a pain reliever and a fever reducer. The exact mechanism of Lanol-ER of is not known. Lanol-ER is used to treat many conditions such as headache, muscle aches, arthritis, backache, toothaches, colds, and fevers. It relieves pain in mild arthritis but has no effect on the underlying inflammation and swelling of the joint. Lanol-ER may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Uses / Indications:

Lanol ER Tablet 10's belongs to the group of mild analgesics (pain killer), and antipyretic (fever-reducing agent) used to treat mild to moderate pain including headache, migraine, toothache, menstrual period pain, osteoarthritis pain, musculoskeletal pain, and reducing fever. Pain and fever are caused by the Activeation of pain receptors due to the release of certain natural chemicals in our body like prostaglandin.

Interactions / Warnings:

Consult your doctor immediately, if you develop any allergic reactions such as skin rash, swelling of face/lips/tongue/throat, wheezing or shortness of breath. Do not take it if you have any known allergy to paracetamol. People with kidney diseases, liver disease, heart disease, allergic skin problems, or breathing problems should avoid taking Lanol ER Tablet 10's. People who are dehydrated for a long time should avoid intake of Lanol ER Tablet 10's. If you have a low sodium level in the body first consult with the doctor before intake of Lanol ER Tablet 10's. People who are heavy alcoholic drinkers (alcohol addict) should consult a doctor and avoid a Lanol ER Tablet 10's intake. Do not take Lanol ER Tablet 10's if you have persistent headache problem. Lanol ER Tablet 10's is not recommended for use in the children less than 2 months of age groups.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction to Lanol-ER: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using this medication and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as: low fever with Nausea, stomach pain, and loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).

Medicine interaction:

Lanol ER Tablet 10's should be avoided taking with blood thinners (warfarin), lipid-lowering drugs (cholestyramine), analgesics (ibuprofen, aspirin), muscle relaxants (tizanidine), and anti-Nausea agents (metoclopramide or domperidone).
