Description:

Flunil Flunil is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors SSRI antidepressant The way Flunil works is still not fully understood It is thought to positively affect communication between nerve cells in the central nervous system and or restore chemical balance in the brain Flunil is used to treat major depressive disorder bulimia nervosa an eating disorder obsessive compulsive disorder and panic disorder Flunil is sometimes used together with another medication called olanzapine Zyprexa to treat depression caused by bipolar disorder manic depression This combination is also used to treat depression after at least 2 other medications have been tried without successful treatment of symptoms

Uses / Indications:

Flunil 20 Capsule is used to treat depression major depressive disorder in adults and children of 8 to 18 years This medicine works by increasing the level of a natural substance serotonin in the brain Flunil 20 is also used to treat mental illness with uncontrollable thoughts and repetitive behaviors known as Obsessive compulsive disorder in adults and children 7 to 18 years to treat serious eating disorder bulimia nervosa to treat panic disorder with or without fear of places and situations agoraphobia and to relieve symptoms of a premenstrual dysphoric disorder including mood swings bloating irritability and breast tenderness Flunil 20 Capsule may also be used together with other medicines to treat certain conditions as recommended by the doctor It is used in combination with Olanzapine to treat episodes of depression in people with bipolar I disorder and manic depressive disorder

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not take Flunil 20 Capsule 10 s if you are allergic to any of its contents if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors MOA or have taken them in the last 14days or if you are taking metoprolol used to treat high blood pressure Do not take Flunil 20 Capsule 10 s along with opioid antagonists such as buprenorphine and naloxone as it might lead to a serious condition called serotonin syndrome Consult your doctor immediately if you have suicidal thoughts such as killing or harming yourself Inform your doctor if you have had epilepsy mania glaucoma diabetes bleeding disorders or hyponatremia low sodium levels Do not take Flunil 20 Capsule 10 s if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed Do not drive or operate machinery as Flunil 20 Capsule 10 s may cause dizziness and might impair your reactions Flunil 20 Capsule 10 s should not be given to children below 8years as the safety and effectiveness have not been established Avoid consuming alcohol along with Flunil 20 Capsule 10 s as it could lead to increased dizziness
