Flunarin 5 Tablet

Description:

Apo-Flunarin capsules is a selective calcium entry blocker with calmodulin binding properties and histamine H1 blocking Activity. It is effective in the prophylaxis of migraine, occlusive peripheral vascular disease, vertigo of central and peripheral origin, and as an adjuvant in the therapy of epilepsy.

Uses / Indications:

Do not take Flunarin 5mg Tablet 10's if you are hypersensitive to flunarizine or any of its ingredients, If you have or ever had depression, Parkinson's disease, liver damage, kidney disease, inform your doctor before starting Flunarin 5mg Tablet 10's. Also, take a meal at the same time of day, preferably during the night. Flunarin 5mg Tablet 10's is known to cause weight gain, so avoid chocolates, junk food, cheese, processed food, alcohol, smoking, and instead eat a healthy diet and do regular exercise. Avoid loud music, extreme temperatures, bright lights, noisy places as it can increase headache. Flunarin 5mg Tablet 10's interacts with sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medicines, muscle relaxants, tranquilisers, anti-seizure or medicines to control fits. So, if you are using these medicines, let your doctor know about this.

Side Effects:

Drowsiness and/or fatigue, as well as weight gain and/or increased appetite may occur. The following adverse experiences have been reported during chronic treatment with Flunarin: Depression, of which female patients with a history of depressive illness may be particularly at risk, extrapyramidal symptoms (eg, bradykinesia, rigidity, akathisia, orofacial dyskinesia, tremor), of which elderly patients seem particularly at risk. Infrequently reported adverse reactions are: Heartburn, Nausea, gastralgia, insomnia, anxiety, galactorrhoea, dry mouth, muscle ache, skin rash.

Medicine interaction:

This medicine may have an interaction with medicines used to treat anxiety (alprazolam, lorazepam), anti-seizure medicines (clobazam, clonazepam, diazepam), sedatives (midazolam, nitrazepam, oxazepam), muscle relaxants (metaxalone, tizanidine, baclofen).
