Description:

Feldex 20mg Tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of Non-Opioid Analgesics and Antipyretic Drugs, Non-steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). The primary composition for this medicine is Piroxicam 20 MG.

Uses / Indications:

Feldex Tablet is used to relieve the signs and symptoms of swollen, stiffed, warm or painful joints. It is also used to relieve the pain and stiffness affecting the spine. It is a prescription medicine. It works by obstructing the body's production of a substance which causes fever, pain, and inflammation.

Interactions / Warnings:

Feldex Tablet 10's may increase the risk of serious heart-related problems, like heart attack and stroke. So, if you are a heart patient, let your doctor know before taking Feldex Tablet 10's. Besides this, Feldex Tablet 10's also cause bleeding and ulcer in the intestine and stomach, so let your doctor know if you have these problems. Do not take Feldex Tablet 10's for pain after a heart bypass surgery or coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) as it can increase your risk of a heart attack or stroke. Consult your doctor before taking Feldex Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breast-feeding; your doctor will prescribe you Feldex Tablet 10's only if the benefits outweigh the risks. Feldex Tablet 10's causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Feldex Tablet 10's should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Feldex Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Do not take aspirin or any other pain killers like aspirin for pain relief or warfarin or any other anticoagulants (used to prevent blood clotting) along with Feldex Tablet 10's, to avoid the risk of bleeding problems. Tell your doctor before taking Feldex Tablet 10's if you have asthma, water retention (oedema) or high blood pressure, as taking Feldex Tablet 10's in these conditions can worsen these diseases.

Side Effects:

Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. Belly pain or heartburn. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help.

Medicine interaction:

Feldex Tablet 10's may have interaction with ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin (used to relieve pain), duloxetine (used to treat depression), metoprolol, atenolol, and lisinopril (used to treat high blood pressure), warfarin (used to prevent blood clotting), celecoxib, prednisone, and meloxicam (used to treat arthritis), sertraline (used to treat depression), and drugs used to treat high blood pressure and fluid retention.
