Description:

Etodolac (Etova MR) (Etodolac (Etova MR)) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Etodolac (Etova MR) works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Etodolac (Etova MR) is used to treat mild to moderate pain, osteoarthritis, or rheumatoid arthritis.

Uses / Indications:

Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Pain in joints, Painful conditions of bones and soft tissues, Rheumatoid arthritis, Degenerative arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Muscles stiffness in muscle diseases, Muscles stiffness in nerve diseases, Muscles stiffness in spinal, Muscles stiffness in the joint diseases.

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not take Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents; if you have stomach ulcers, have suffered bleeding problems, clotting problems, inflammatory bowel disease, severe heart, liver or kidney problems, galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke. So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, do not take Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's. Inform your doctor before taking Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's if you have or had stomach bleeding or ulcers, heart failure, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, kidney or liver impairment. Do not take Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children as safety have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Stop taking Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's and consult your doctor immediately if you have stomach pain or any signs of bleeding in the intestine or stomach such as blood in stools. Do not take any other NSAID's for pain relief along with Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's unless prescribed.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction to Etodolac (Etova MR): sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, wheezing or trouble breathing, hives, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Get emergency medical help if you have signs of a heart attack or stroke: chest pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder, sudden numbness or weakness on one side of the body, slurred speech, feeling short of breath. Stop using Etodolac (Etova MR) and call your doctor at once if you have: changes in your vision, the first sign of any skin rash, no matter how mild, shortness of breath (even with mild exertion), swelling or rapid weight gain, signs of stomach bleeding - bloody or tarry stools, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, liver problems - Nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tired feeling, flu-like symptoms, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), kidney problems - little or no urinating, painful or difficult urination, swelling in your feet or ankles, feeling tired or short of breath, low red blood cells (anemia) - pale skin, feeling light-headed or short of breath, rapid heart rate, trouble concentrating or severe skin reaction - fever, sore throat, swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially in the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling. Common Etodolac (Etova MR) side effects may include: Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, gas, dizziness, weakness, sore throat, runny nose, flu symptoms, itching, rash or headache.

Medicine interaction:

Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet 10's may have interaction with pain killers (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac), anti-depressants (duloxetine, escitalopram), cardiac glycoside (digoxin), anti-hypertensives (metoprolol), blood thinners (warfarin), anti-psychotic (lithium), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), steroids (mifepristone), quinolone antibiotics, diuretics, and sedative drugs.
