Daxid is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and social anxiety disorder (SAD). Daxid belongs to a group of medicines known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It works by increasing the Activity of a chemical called serotonin in the brain. Daxid is available only with your doctor's prescription. Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although these uses are not included in product labeling, Daxid is used in certain patients with the following medical conditions: Premature ejaculation.

Do not take Daxid 25 Tablet 15's if you are allergic to sertraline or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Tell your doctor if you are taking antidepressants, antipsychotic medication, antihypertensives, or antibiotics. Talk to your doctor if you have a history of seizures, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia. Patients with liver diseases, diabetes, heart disease, and bleeding disorders should use Daxid 25 Tablet 15's with caution. Please do not stop the treatment abruptly as it can cause withdrawal reactions. Daxid 25 Tablet 15's may cause suicidal thoughts and worsen depression or anxiety. Daxid 25 Tablet 15's is used with caution in children and adolescents under 18 years of age as it increases suicidal tendencies in this population.
