Description:

Danogen is used to treat a number of different medical problems. These include: Endometriosis. Fibrocystic breast disease (cysts in the breasts). Hereditary angioedema (swelling of the different parts of the body, such as abdomen or stomach, arms, legs, throat, skin, or sexual organs. Danogen is available only with your doctor's prescription. Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although these uses may not be included in product labeling, Danogen is used in certain patients with the following medical conditions: Gynecomastia (breast development in males). Menorrhagia (abnormally heavy and prolonged menstrual periods). Precocious puberty in females (a condition that causes early puberty in girls).

Interactions / Warnings:

If you are allergic to Danogen 100mg Capsule 10's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Danogen 100mg Capsule 10's is contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is advised to use effective non-hormonal contraceptives to avoid pregnancy while taking Danogen 100mg Capsule 10's as it may cause birth defects. You are recommended to avoid or limit consumption of alcohol with Danogen 100mg Capsule 10's as it may cause shortness of breath or make you feel sick. Drive only if you are alert as Danogen 100mg Capsule 10's may cause dizziness, vertigo (spinning feeling) or blurred vision. If you are about to undergo any surgery, please inform your doctor that you are taking Danogen 100mg Capsule 10's as it may increase the effect of certain anaesthetics. If you have pain while moving your legs or arms, stop taking Danogen 100mg Capsule 10's and consult a doctor immediately as this might be due to a blood clot.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction to Danogen: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor at once if you have: loss of appetite, stomach pain (upper right side), cough with bloody mucus or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), bloody or tarry stools, dark urine, swelling or weight gain, a hoarse or deepened voice, sore throat, hair loss, or increased hair growth, acne or other skin problems, unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, increased pressure inside the skull - severe headaches, ringing in your ears, dizziness, Nausea, vision problems, pain behind your eyes or signs of a blood clot - sudden numbness or weakness, problems with vision or speech, swelling or redness in an arm or leg. Common Danogen side effects may include: flushing (sudden warmth, redness, or tingly feeling), changes in your menstrual periods, unusual vaginal bleeding or spotting, breast changes, sexual problems, decreased amount of semen released during sex, mood changes, nervousness or vaginal dryness or irritation.

Medicine interaction:

Danogen 100mg Capsule 10's may interact with blood thinners (warfarin), immunosuppressants (tacrolimus, ciclosporin), cholesterol-lowering medicines (simvastatin), medicines used to treat vitamin D deficiency (alfacalcidol), steroid hormones (progesterone, testosterone, oestrogen).
