Description:

Clonil SR is used to treat obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). OCD is a nervous condition where a person has recurring thoughts or ideas, or does repetitive things because they are anxious. Clonil SR is a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA). It is thought to work in the brain by increasing the Activity of the chemical serotonin.

Uses / Indications:

Ceff 500 Capsule is used to treat respiratory tract infections, inflammatory diseases of the middle ear (otitis media), skin and soft tissue infections, bone infections, infection of reproductive organs and the urinary system (genitourinary tract infections), worsening of long-term inflammation of the bronchi, and community-acquired pneumonia. It is a prescription medicine. This medicine works by killing the bacteria by blocking the bacterial cell-wall formation.

Interactions / Warnings:

If you are allergic to Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children below 17 years of age. Avoid taking Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's if you are pregnant as it may cause harm to the fetus. Avoid breastfeeding while taking Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's as Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's may be excreted in human milk and cause adverse effects in the baby. Therefore, please consult a doctor if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's should be used with caution in elderly patients as there is an increased risk of low sodium levels in the blood. If you have any self-harming or suicidal thoughts before taking Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's, inform your doctor as they may worsen in the initial days of taking Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's. Do not take Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) such as moclobemide, tranylcypromine and phenelzine used to treat depression as it may cause severe adverse effects. Also, avoid taking Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's with buprenorphine as it may cause a serious life-threatening condition. If you have fits, low blood pressure, mania, glaucoma, difficulty in urination, a blood disorder, hyperthyroidism (overActive thyroid gland), severe constipation, pheochromocytoma (tumor of the adrenal gland), low potassium levels in blood, kidney, liver, or heart problems, inform your doctor before taking Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Report any new or worsening symptoms to your doctor, such as: mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you feel impulsive, irritable, agitated, hostile, aggressive, restless, hyperActive (mentally or physically), more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself. Call your doctor at once if you have: blurred vision, tunnel vision, eye pain or swelling, or seeing halos around lights, rapid heart rate, tremors or shaking, confusion, extreme fear, thoughts of hurting yourself, agitation, hallucinations, fever, overActive reflexes, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of coordination, fainting, painful or difficult urination, very stiff (rigid) muscles, seizure (convulsions), or tired feeling, weakness, easy bruising or bleeding (nosebleed, bleeding gums), pale skin, feeling light-headed or short of breath. Common side effects may include: dry mouth, Nausea, upset stomach, loss of appetite, constipation, feeling anxious, restless, dizzy, drowsy, or tired, sleep problems (insomnia), appetite or weight changes, memory problems, trouble concentrating, increased sweating, numbness or tingling, vision changes or decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm.

Medicine interaction:

Clonil SR 75 Tablet 10's may have interaction with antiparkinson drug (selegiline, levodopa), antibiotic (pentamidine, rifampicin), antipsychotic drugs (pimozide), opioid pain killers (buprenorphine, morphine, codeine), blood thinners (warfarin), monoamine oxidase inhibitors used to treat depression (moclobemide, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), antidepressants (fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, amitriptyline, sertraline, venlafaxine, dothiepin, maprotiline), antimanic drug (lithium), anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, valproate), painkillers (aspirin), antacids (cimetidine), water tablets (furosemide), anti-allergic drug (terfenadine), medicines used to treat high blood pressure (betanidine, reSerpinane, guanethidine, clonidine), heart-related medicines (isoprenaline, amiodarone, quinidine, disopyramide, procainamide, epinephrine, diltiazem, verapamil), HIV drugs (ritonavir, indinavir).
