Chymoral Plus is a digestive enzyme that can perform proteolysis. Chymoral Plus preferentially cleaves peptide amide bonds where the carboxyl side of the amide bond (the P1 position) is a tyrosine, tryptophan, or phenylalanine. These amino acids contain an aromatic ring in their sidechain that fits into a 'hydrophobic pocket' (the S1 position) of the enzyme. The hydrophobic and shape complementarity between the peptide substrate P1 sidechain and the enzyme S1 binding cavity accounts for the substrate specificity of this enzyme. Chymoral Plus also hydrolyzes other amide bonds in peptides at slower rates, particularly those containing leucine at the P1 position.

Consumption of alcohol should be avoided during the treatment with Chymoral Plus Tablet 15's as it may lead to an increased risk of liver damage. Patients with stomach ulcers, gastric bleeding, severe heart failure, high blood pressure and liver or kidney disease should not take Chymoral Plus Tablet 15's. Besides this, it should be avoided during the last trimester of pregnancy, unless the doctor has prescribed you. If you have a severe allergy to painkillers and have conditions like asthma, rhinitis, angioedema (swelling under the skin) or skin rashes, immediately stop taking Chymoral Plus Tablet 15's.
