Description:

Betnesol Forte Tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of Otic steroids / Ear Corticosteroids, Antiasthmatic Drugs and COPD Medications, Corticosteroid Hormone Drugs. The primary composition for this medicine is Betamethasone 1 MG.

Uses / Indications:

Betnesol Forte Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Itch or rash Skin inflammation Inflammation of skin Ataxia telangiectasia Phimosis Allergic disorders Skin problems Arthritis Eczema Psoriasis

Interactions / Warnings:

Do not use Betnesol Forte Tablet 20's in more than prescribed doses, or on a large area of skin for a prolonged time as it may cause adverse effects. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Betnesol Forte Tablet 20's. Do not cover or wrap the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. Avoid using Betnesol Forte Tablet 20's for more than 5 days in children and on the face. If you are using Betnesol Forte Tablet 20's in topical form, avoid smoking or going near naked flames as the fabric (bedding, clothing, dressings) that is in contact with Betnesol Forte Tablet 20's catches fire and burns easily. If you have diabetes, psoriasis, glaucoma, cataracts, adrenal gland or liver problems, inform your doctor before taking Betnesol Forte Tablet 20's.

Side Effects:

Oral: High blood sugar. This most often goes back to normal when drug is stopped. Chance of getting an infection. Wash hands often. Stay away from people with infections, colds, or flu. Belly pain. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Weight gain. Change in body fat. Weak bones with long-term use. Muscle weakness. Mood changes. Skin changes (pimples, stretch marks, slow healing, hair growth). Cataracts or glaucoma with long-term use. For women, vaginal yeast infection. Report itching or discharge. - Skin: - Skin irritation.

Medicine interaction:

Betnesol Forte Tablet 20's may interact with drugs used to lower high blood pressure (metoprolol), pain killers (aspirin, ibuprofen), antianxiety drugs (alprazolam), laxatives (magnesium sulphate), blood thinners (warfarin).
