Description:

Udp 5mg Tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of Calcium channel blocking agents, Antianginal Agents. The primary composition for this medicine is Amlodipine 5 MG.

Uses / Indications:

Udp Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure. It is a prescription medicine. This medicine lowers the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and reducing the force required to maintain blood flow from the heart. Udp is also used to treat long-term chest pain called as Angina. This medicine helps to control chest pain by increasing the amount of blood supply to the heart. It is also used to treat chest pain at rest (variant angina). Udp is also used to reduce the effects of damage in the heart blood vessels called as Coronary Artery Disease. Udp Tablet may also be taken in combination with other medicines to treat certain conditions as recommended by the doctor. Udp Tablet is used together with antianginal agents to treat long-term chest pain or chest pain at rest. Udp is also used with other Anti-Hypertensive agents to treat high blood pressure.

Interactions / Warnings:

UDP-5 Tablet 10's should not be given to the people allergic to UDP-5 Tablet 10's, have low blood pressure (less than 90 mm of Hg), have had heart attack, kidney disease, liver disease, pregnant women or planning to get pregnant and breastfeeding women without the prescription of a doctor. Besides this, it is contraindicated in patients with aortic stenosis (heart valve problem). UDP-5 Tablet 10's can pass into breast milk, but its effect on the baby is not known. So, it is better to tell your doctor if you are taking UDP-5 Tablet 10's and breastfeeding.

Side Effects:

Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful while climbing. - Headache. - Hard stools (constipation). Drinking more liquids, working out, or adding fiber to your diet may help. - Talk with your doctor about a stool softener or laxative. - Swelling in the arms or legs.

Medicine interaction:

UDP-5 Tablet 10's may interact with high blood pressure lowering pills (benazepril, metoprolol, ramipril, hydrochlorothiazide etc), drugs used to control lipid levels in the blood (atorvastatin, simvastatin etc), medicines to treat erectile dysfunction (sildenafil), antibiotics (Clarinathromycin, erythromycin, rifampin), antifungal (itraconazole, ketoconazole), anti-HIV drugs (ritonavir), anti-epilepsy medicines (carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone), immune-suppressing drugs (cyclosporine, tacrolimus) and painkillers (ibuprofen, aspirin).
